2012 has been a very exciting year for Heartsease Newfoundlands
We began the year in January with George completing his American Championship, winning 4 majors in just two outings with handler, John Dewing.
February saw George going Reserve Best In Show with Milton Lopes.
Lisa Wright took over the reins in March and there was no looking back! George and Lisa bonded quickly and spent the rest of the year having fun inside the ring and out.
3 - Canadian Best In Shows
2 - more Reserve Best In Shows
11 - Group I’s
6 - Group II’s
5 - Group III’s
4 - Group IV’s
3 - Specialty Best of Breeds including the NDCC-BC Region Specialty
48 - BOBs including the NDCC-BC Region Booster

Most exciting of all Lisa received the best possible birthday present a handler could ever ask for - an American Best In Show!!! George and Lisa went Group I under Judith Shurb and then Best In Show under Colonel Joe Purkhiser - earning 902 points towards top dog. George was flying around the ring thanks to the Boy Scout Group that was cheering him on.

Two other trips across the border earned George two more Group II’s including one under the noted Newfoundland judge Burton Yamada. George also earned two selects leaving him only 5 points away from an American Grand Championship.

George will finish the year being Canada’s #1 Breed Point Newfoundland, #2 All Breed Newfoundland, #13 Working Group and #53 All Breed. With his limited showing in the States, George ranked #11 US All Breed and was invited to the Eukanuba Specialty in Florida.

Thank you Lisa for making this an unforgettable year. Thank you to your family, 2-legged George and Cole for being the pit crew that polished, spritzed and de-goobed as needed.
WHAT A YEAR!
LONG LIVE THE KING!!!
